"A new and exciting development for Elmbridge"

A new Trust has been formed in Elmbridge to champion the cause of bringing local heritage to life for the benefit of community, as well as helping attract visitors to the local area.

The vision of Elmbridge Heritage Trust is to have a new and exciting, high quality, discovery/heritage exhibition centre, geographically situated close to the heart of the Borough, which also has the potential of being used for possible business or community activities.  This will be of benefit to children, students, specific interest groups as well as interested tourists in the area.

The Trust would like the potential new centre to reflect the importance and wealth of local heritage and, in particular, capture many of the extraordinary personal stories of people who have lived, worked and contributed to the fantastic area in which to live and work.

There are four trustees, all of whom are Elmbridge residents and all with particular areas of expertise. Elmbridge and Walton MP Dominic Raab, has agreed to be a vice patron and others have been approached.

In addition to researching possible future locations, the Trust intends to survey local people’s views and will continue contacting interested local groups to develop plans further.
