"Where Tradition Meets Ambition"

From January, Esher Lionesses are looking for female players to join their new 2018 Womens Rugby Union squad. Try Rugby in a women-friendly and safe environment, trained by qualified RFU coaches. They train on Monday evenings at 7:30pm once a week, and have many ladies who start fresh and just want to train for leisure. Outdoor training sessions cover the basic rugby skills together with the main principles of play packaged, with a lot of fun and smiles. Free parking is available and changing rooms and showers are provided.

Throughout the club, Esher’s ideals reflect the RFU’s core values of Rugby, Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. And recent market research has overwhelmingly shown that the club comes across as being warm and friendly, providing good quality rugby for all. Loads of energy is going into making this team get off the ground. If you are interested in playing, coaching or just helping the team in general, please get in touch with the Esher Lionesses.

Female participation in rugby has seen unparalleled levels of growth in recent years, with a massive 215% increase since 2013. It’s now one of the fastest growing team sports for women in England.
