BASIC MENTAL HEALTH FIRST
AID FOR MEN WORKSHOP

This workshop will give you an introduction to First Aid in Mental Health. The course is designed to help you spot the triggers and signs of various mental health issues, as well as giving you tools to deal with difficult situations. Register with Mary Frances Trust to attend this free course.

Next year, 2020, will see the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, and over the next four years Maiastra will be celebrating this event by performing all of his 16 string quartets in the order in which they were published.

The Golden Phoenix is a marathon only distance event where runners complete 4 identical laps along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames from Walton on Thames to Hampton Court and back for the full marathon distance. Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter.

HELEN LOCKE - A Year at Ochre

Robert Phillips Gallery, Riverhouse Barn,

The exhibition ranges from textile art pieces to large scale prints showcasing all that Ochre has to offer. Helen's work is part of surrey Artist's Open studios joining the 'Thames Trail'.

D-DAY 75th LAND RUNS

75 years ago the Allied Forces invaded at Normandy. This was the largest land, sea and air invasion in history and it was the beginning of the end of World War II. The D-Day Runs are 6 hour timed events where you choose from 5km to an ultra marathon and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers' medal(s). Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter.

The Regatta was established in Walton-on-Thames in 1862, and in 2019 will hold the 154th annual event.  An incredible, action-packed day on the river not to be missed. Over 180 races take place!

Born in Germany into a family of American musicians, Philip began double bass lessons with his father. He went on to study at the Yehudi Menuhin school and is now in his final year at the Royal College of Music. He has performed as soloist and worked with orchestras throughout the UK and Europe.

A very popular road run set in the historic town of Weybridge with a fantastic mix of town-centre and riverside scenery. Starting from Walton Lane, the chip-timed 10km follows the River Thames towards Weybridge Town Centre. It then winds back through the finish line, for the first time, where you can experience the cheering crowd before heading back towards Weybridge along Oatlands Drive. Once past the Weybridge Monument, there is a scenic trip back along Walton Lane to the finish line where you will be greeted with a large finishers medal!

The Ian Engelmann singers, a small mixed choir from the Walton and Weybridge area, under their Musical Director John Tudhope, return to Riverhouse to present a delightfully informal concert, comprising a selection of unaccompanied part-songs from the sixteenth to the twentieth century, with integrated readings and poems.
