CHARITY PROVIDING LIVE MUSIC
ACROSS HEALTHCARE VENUES

"Joy through live music"

Music in Hospitals & Care are a national charity with their head office based in Walton-on-Thames. Established in 1948, their mission is to provide engaging and unforgettable live music performances to healthcare venues across the UK. MiHC live music sessions are designed to humanise clinical settings, to reach out to people and encourage socialising and communication and to create long lasting, happy memories during what can often be very difficult times.

Annually, MiHC organises around 4,500 live music sessions for people of all ages receiving treatment and care in all kinds of healthcare venues, from hospitals to hospices to special schools to intensive care. Professional musicians are selected by audition for their high level of musicianship, breadth of repertoire and their ability to engage with a variety of audiences, ensuring that every session is unique and tailored to the specific needs of each audience.
