ORGANISING ALLOTMENT
LETTINGS,OUTINGS & AN
ANNUAL SHOW

The Walton and District Allotment and Garden Society was founded in 1958.
The Society offers a three year membership, and is run for the benefit of its members providing expert horticultural advice, together with their own shop supplying all gardening needs. The society maintains the allotments and trading hut at the Elm Grove site as well as organising the late summer show and outings for its members.

  • Allotments: Historically Walton has always been regarded as a highly successful fruit and vegetable growing area. Sites include the Elm Grove Allotments, Rydens Road, Home Farm, Burhill and Terrace Road.
  • Trading Hut: The society headquarters is located at the Highfield Road end of the allotments, where the society stocks an excellent range of composts, fertilisers and garden sundries. It is operated by volunteers and open for members on Thursday from 10am until 11:30am and on Saturday from 9:30am until Noon.

Can I just say a huge Thank you to the members who organise the outings. We have visited some stunning places - some that we had never heard of.
