RESTORATIVE YOGA CLASSES
Beverley Gibbs teaches Restorative Yoga at Yoga B Still. Restorative Yoga is the practice of slow stretches and stillness, helping to release physical tension in the body, aiding rest & relaxation.
Beverley has a special interest in teaching Restorative Yoga, sometimes referred to as 'Active Relaxation'. She understands how valuable and important it is to learn to 'switch off' and relax - something not valued enough in our busy, achievement driven society, where people are living in a constant state of stress. It's Beverley's passion, to get as many people as possible, to try this type of practice and realise the benefits, both physical and mental.
Classes are on selective Sunday evenings at 5:30 - 6:30pm & 6:45 - 7:45pm at the Harmony Centre. For most of the class you will be lying on the floor, where your body is fully supported by the props encouraging a state of deep relaxation. It truly is a perfect practice for a Sunday evening, helping you to recharge your batteries before the week starts again. Beverley says to please wear warm, comfortable clothing and bring a mat and blanket. If you don't have these please let Beverley know and she will bring one for you.
